Baby Boomers and Life Insurance

Can Baby Boomers get Life Insurance

Baby boomers?

With all this talk about baby boomers, generation x, generation y and millennials sometimes we can forget which generation we belong to.

If you or your parents were born between 1946 and 1960 then yes, the generation would be that of the baby boomers.

According to this Wikipedia entry, baby boomers have had many positive impacts in our society.   They’ve lived though many different decades from the hippie 60’s lifestyle, the disco in the 70s and even changing millenniums in the early 2000’s.

Many, have already reached retirement age, which in now 67, others are still in their 50s and working. One of the biggest concerns this generation has is not being a burden for the next generation.

According to that article, many have postponed planning about end-of-life issues. This is understandable as it is not a very nice subject to talk about.

We like to look at things differently. Yes, not being a financial burden is important but what about leaving a legacy for your loved ones.

Many might be thinking if they can qualify for life insurance because of pre-existing conditions. Health, while it can be an issue, there are certain companies that provide coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.
